Who would have thought back in 2014 when Cyprus withdrew from the contest that they would have six qualifications in a row.
This is one of the longest current streaks and Cyprus hopes to reach lucky seven.
This campaign will be slightly tougher.
'Ela' is a mix of Swedish pop with some ethnic Greek elements. Interesting combination and remains to be seen if the Televoters will connect with it finding it authentic or reject it as plastic.
It might also appeal to Greek diaspora that could help it.
The running order is optimum, and it is the most encouraging element for Cyprus.
My personal opinion is that Cyprus is playing with fire this year. Chances are with their side, but if qualification happens will be borderline.
I have also some suspicions about Andromache's vocals, being the only song that has not been presented yet live.
One to watch during rehearsals.

Greek diaspora can relate with it.

It might feel a bit plastic and Eurovision by numbers (Ps: it has 10!!! songwriters)

What happens next...
If Cyprus qualifies to the Final, I expect a classic 15th-20th finish with a balanced Juries-Televoting score.
Is one of the most consistent countries in getting those 75-100pts no matter what. Will be interested to see if the Greek diaspora will go for this one as it is more recognisable in terms of music genre.
