Slot #2, Latvia, and a song about food is the deadliest combination you can have in a Semi Final!

Latvia has one of the longest non qualifying streaks and is heading for another car crush.

'Eat your salad' might have had some luck in the early '00s when joke entries were still acceptable, but we are in 2022...

Only three songs made it from #2 and two of them relied heavily in diaspora (Armenia '15, Poland '16) and the third one (Austria '17) slayed the Juries and finished 14th with televoters.

I am trying to find a silver lining or something that could help the case of Latvia, but everything points to the direction of non-qualification.

Will qualify because...

Vegans use it for their cause and make it viral the week of the competition. 

Food delivery companies around Europe offer a free salad if you show them a proof that you voted Latvia in the Semi Final.

Will not qualify because...

Latvia has a poor record, participates with a poor-quality song, performing in slot of death #2...
