Eurovision 2022 - Semi-Final 2 - 5. Georgia...locked in or locked out again?

Qualifying Record: 7/13

Qualifying Record 50/50 era: 2/7

Running Order Record 50/50 era: 8/14

Current Country Streak: 4 NQ

Current Running Order Streak: 3 NQ

Georgia has its own 'School' in terms of Eurovision entries and this year could not be any different.

'Lock Me In' is an interesting experimental song.

It has some qualities, but I seriously doubt that they will translate in a good result or qualification.

I love the Georgian selection process and their out of the box thinking that one day might bring a victory. However, this is not the year.

Will qualify because...

In a weak Semi-Final like this one, all entries have the right to dream.

Will not qualify because...

Europe is not ready yet for an avant-garde song like this one.

Is not safe neither with Juries nor with televoters.

Realistic Expectations...

13th-18th

Similar Entries of the Past in the same Slot...

Iceland '14 (Q)

Interesting Facts about the Running Order:

Before the current non qualification streak (three) #5 had an astonishing five qualifications streak!

Televoting in particular had seven Top-10 in a row.

What happens next...

If Georgia goes to the Final that would be the shock qualifier of the year. Qualification alone will be the equivalent for victory, taking in consideration that the last time Georgia was at the Final was back in 2016.

Most probable outcome for the Final...

NQ 90%, if in Final 21st-25th
