Ireland is one of the least successful countries with the current voting system and it is hard to explain to a 25 year old fan of the contest that Ireland used to dominate for almost 20 years. The last Top-5 dates back to 1997! and the last Top-10 exactly a decade ago.
Lesley Roy hopes that will find the Maps that lead to the Final (see what I did there). A nice contemporary song that will also suffer coming after a bunch of strong entries. I find it very safe and the fact that Lesley will be alone on stage is not a good sign in my opinion.
Will qualify because... it is safe enough to attract votes from Juries and Televoting. Decent running order. Cyprus will mess its staging.
Will not qualify because... it is not a strong enough entry to be beat the 4-5 favourites of the first half. Not many allies.

What happens next...: If Ireland qualifies a realistic target would to avoid Bottom-5 and with a few allies' points and some 1-4pts might make it.
