Eurovision 2021 - Semi Final 2 - 10. Georgia

10. Georgia

Qualifying Record: 7/12

Qualifying Record 50/50 era: 2/6

Running Order Record 50/50 era: 7/12

Current Country Streak: 3 NQ

Current Running Order Streak: 3 NQ

I have to admit that Georgia is one of the countries that I admire for their courage to send alternative entries regardless of their chances to qualify or achieve a good result.

This year is no different. You is a lullaby, a slow burner that will slow down the rhythm of the SF. Imagine entering a club and DJ plays Georgia after Serbia....

Taking in consideration Georgia's previous record, there are few points to expect from friends and allies and viewers have no reason to vote for it.

Could Juries save it? It might score better with Juries, but I reckon it will be still far away from Top-10

Will qualify because... All the Jury members will mix Top with Bottom when scoring the entries and Georgia will finish Top-3 getting the necessary 105-115 points for the qualification.

Parents with babies and small kids will appreciate the fact that You can make their children sleep instantly and vote for their saviour...

Will not qualify because... It does not stand out, at least not in a positive way. There are better packages to choose from,

Realistic expectations for the Semi: 15th - 17th

Similar Entries of the Past in the same Running Order? Croatia 19' (NQ), Belgium 19' (NQ), Georgia 18' (NQ), Hungary 15' (Q)

Interesting Facts about the Running Order: Indicates which is the weakest entry in the second half and producers use it lately to 'punish' those entries.

2 last places in the last 5 SFs...

What happens next...: Not much for Georgia. They will be already back home watching the Final in TV like the rest of us.

If Georgia qualifies that would be the biggest surprise of the decade.

A drug dealer is pointing at you with a gun and threatens to kill you if you don't predict the Final Ranking: NQ 99.999%

Some More Data: Georgia tends to perform better with Juries but not significantly better. They are in a bad streak that will continue this year.
