Sweden is back for another run for another win. Tusse won Melfest in cruise mode winning both juries and PV and the expectations are high. Million Voices is a slick classic swedish production and it does highlight Tusse's vocal abilities and charisma.
It might be though a very in the middle, extra safe choice that might hurt Sweden especially with the Televoting where it is struggling lately.
Sweden won't have a problem sailing through to the Final having an impressive streak not just qualifying to the Final (7 consecutive times) but finishing in Top-3 as well! This is the reason why producers did not have a problem giving Sweden a tough slot.
Will qualify because...Sweden is a powerhouse, the song is good enough and Tusse has a charisma.
Will not qualify because...aliens invade earth and the show is cancelled.
Realistic expectations for the Semi: 1st - 3rd
Similar Entries of the Past in the same Running Order?: Hungary 14', Israel 16' both qualified
Interesting Facts about the Running Order: This is the slot with the biggest discrepancy in favour of the juries. 100% jury result would have secured 7/12 qualifications when 100% Televote would secure only 4/12. Israel managed to qualify in SF2- 16' even though it finished 16th in PV. Netherlands in SF1 - 15' didn't make despite ranking 5th with juries.
What happens next...: It is a matter of momentum for Sweden and how producers will treat it in the final. Data matter and having a bad draw for the Semi means that Sweden will probably get a good running order for the final.
A drug dealer is pointing at you with a gun and threatens to kill you if you don't predict the Final Ranking: 6th - 10th
Some More Data: Two are the main factors that will determine Sweden's fate. How will juries treat it in a year with many jury baits and how will the eastern televoting will react to Tusse. Has the PV love for Sweden ended a few years ago?
